Public San Lorenzo River Cleanup

Help lead a public cleanup along the San Lorenzo River before the rainy season and prevent debris from washing into the Monterey Bay! The meetup location for this cleanup is on the riverwalk next to the pedestrian bridge on River St. S, across the street from the DNA Comedy Lab. Please note: this cleanup should take place along the river levee, and participants should not leave designated trails or enter the vegetation or the river. Additionally, personal belongings (clothing, etc.) should not be removed or collected.

1. Be sure to follow and enforce our Social Distancing Cleanups Guidelines in addition to our normal safety precautions.
2. Ensure that all participants (including yourself) complete all three waivers including SOS volunteer waiver AND Covid-19 waiver as well as a City of Santa Cruz waiver and submit to SOS staff after the cleanup.
3. Ask participants to record data by using the free Save Our Shores Marine Tally App (Apple, Google) or by using data cards and filling out this form.
4. Complete an Event Report Back form and send to Emily  (emily@saveourshores.org).
5. Record your hours.
